I would much rather take the "Free" revision and follow his instructions,being extra careful. You know..I was studying the picture of my bottoming out and it really looks like he needs to get in there and fix the whole pocket if you kwim? My left breast looks wider than my left...so I wonder if he could put sutures in on the sides? Is that possible to do? I know that I may have been over thinking everything..and thinking that the pocket revision may not hold. Always thinking the worst... ![]() I'll give it some more thought.. Thanks for your input!

If it were me, I would definitely go with the revision, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain - its like trading in your car "thinking" it "might" break down. Has this PS done lots of revisions, I think you said this is the only way he does his revisions -- what is his success rate? You are overthinking this and its going to drive you nuts - now STOP LOOKING AT THEM!
I really dont think you want to go down in size (at this point)-would be like starting all over again.

Hun, does your PS absolutely refuse to use permanent sutures? Did he tell you why? Or do you think it is just that he hasn't used them, and so he won't use them?
Do you think if you got perm sutures, the revision would hold ok, with your current implants, maybe?? It's worth a consult with another PS I think, to ask that question and get an objective answer. JMO.

He explained why to me...and I really can't explain it to you,unless I saw you face to face. I know if I got the perm. sutures...it would definately make my crease more stable. I will just have to be very careful and do what I am told...

So sorry you're having to go through this Laurie![]() I guess if it were me I'd go with the revision first. Nothing much to lose if it's not successful (except recovery time) and if it is successful you get to keep your lovely big boobies. It must be so difficult. Thinking of you, and hope things get easier soon.

Not sure you want my 2 cents but I think you prolly dont want to go smaller, so I am with Bailey... going for a few consults I think would be the right thing to do first of all ,., see what all your options are and then decide what you think is the best idea out there. One of the ladies mentioned something about a mesh thingy.. not sure what that is totally but I have heard of Drs in the chicago area using it for bottoming out. I really hate that you are going thur all this.. You are such a kind heated person,,, I know in the long run you will make the right decision for you, Just know we are all thinking of you and If you need any of our help.. please let us know..{{{{{ }}}}}}

I kind of had a similar experience with my first BA. I had 540cc and my left breast bottomed out like a couple of days after surgery. I had a redo to 800cc as soon as I could. My doctor revised the pocket including the side of the pocket, and I am doing great. I had a periaerolar incision both times though and not a crease incision. Maybe the pocket revision would work for you, especially since Bailey thinks it might work!

Thanks ladies...maybe you're right.
I am really considering the revision first... I'm going to take the weekend to think it over and then decide. Thanks for all your support!

Laurie, were you told that there was a possibility of this happening to you if you went larger? I know that there are risks of complications with all our surgeries.
I know you wanted to go bigger and you did and now you have hit a bump in the road with this complication. You could go for a few new consults with someone that specialises with your current problem and see what he/she offers you as a solution. (Permanant sutures) If I were in your shoes I would go for the revision and see how that goes as he said he will pay for it. Then if that problem doesnt piss off then go and have the smaller implants put in. |

Laurie, my PS doesnt want to use perm sutures either. He said they up the risk for infection and that it was kinda like sewing thru cheese..that either way one type of suture may not hold any more than another type?
I want perm sutures too!! I just feel like hitting my head against the wall on this!
