MIL, has arrived and the fun begun

Well I am driving home last night after the gym, and as I come close to our place I see my Mom's car, and I am thinking whats up? Well then I see MIL standing there talking with my Mom as she is getting ready to leave, I ask whats up to both and before anything else, now mind you I have just come from the gym so I am dressed in my sport bra crop top, and spandex work-out pants, my MIL said, "Oh, already left the street corner for the evening?"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Mom and I just ignore her and my Mom tells me that MIL set off the alarm and she had gotten called from ADT. It is like my MIL is so stupid she can not grasp the concept of opening a door and pushing 4 numbers. Just then the Police show up because they got the call from ADT also. They asked if everything was ok, and I really wanted to reply, "Officer I am glad you came, we found this woman in my house and I have never seen her before in my life, take her away!" But I was a good girl, yeah, it was hard, REAL HARD, and told them everything was fine that it was an error.
The rest of the night was so-so, so girls.............THE FUN HAS STARTED!!!

Oh my gosh Norma! My inlaws are worthless but at least they pretty much stay away, I can't believe that she would say that!!! I can imagine you saying that to the police! Your husband might not have thought it was quiet so funny though I guess. Good luck to you! How long is she staying?

Actually, my DH probably would have agreed! He hates how she treats me also, and has talked with her several times on it. But I just bite my lip, then go outside, and SCREAM!!!!! LOL!

If she dislikes you so much why does she torture you with her presence? I'm sure it's just a matter of time before your dh gets really fed up and gives her the boot. Lord knows she deserves it! She should be thrilled her son has a woman who loves him so much and makes him so happy.

I definately think you hit the mil....er... I mean, nail on the head there Norma! I'm proud of you for trying though. I don't think I could do it. My dh and I are both without inlaws as our parents passed away young so we've never had those issues. I have the sil and bil from hell and that's quite enough for me.

You know she knows exactly what she is doing. So I would go home and tell my loving DH. Look this is my house and I will not be treated like that mom or Holiday be hell. She can visit and stay at a hotel. She doesn't have to reside under my roof for 2 weeks. That is what I would tell my DH. If he refused then I would leave and stay at the F Hotel myself. I typically just read and don't participate much (I'm at work)...shhhh!
But I had to read this post..especially after I saw your post yesterday about the weather being bad and MIL's broom must not go in the snow...I was busting a gut laughing at that one And that comment she made to you when you got home from the gym, there is NO DOUBT she is jealous. My boyfriends "mommy", same way...now she would never make a comment like that to me bacause I would jerk a knot in her @ss quick...and so would the BF...but she's a major pain in the wazoo..she wants him with her all the time...wants him to buy her the same things he buys me...always asking where I buy this or that, she wants it too...it's like "are you kidding me"???? Her last trick was the BF had to have surgery...she whipped out a paper that had a statement on it that said if anything happens to BF she gets everything..and she said it directly to me "I want him to sign this to make sure I get everything" and made a stupid laugh smirk giggle face". That was the last straw for me. I'm done with her. BF said she said that in reference to his father...I said he is no less your father than she is your mother!! I was totally offended because she was looking right at me...his father was no where around.
She's a witch and I want nothing to do with her. She's married to her hubby cause she needed a meal ticket, and he invested well so she will never leave him. She's made the comment "When he dies I'll have a good time spending all that money". Confirmed everything I ever thought!

Norma, You are a great catch. I think every man would want you as a mate. I do think your MIL is jealous of you and how good you look. I say keep harrassing her. Maybe this will be her last visit to your house. It's going to be a rough 2 weeks. Sorry about that.

oh you poor girl im sending you big hugs i sympathise with you i had issues with my mil from my first marriage so i know how you feel what was so bad about it with my ex mil was my ex not one time ever stood up for me and so i was alway defending myself with no support but i have the most amazing inlaws now its so funny cuz they will call me and not even ask to speak to their son my inlaws are in their 80s and my dh is an only child so they depend on us alot its so funny because they wouldnt even buy their carpet untill i told them what coulore i thought they should go with my mil has been having health problems for the last 1 1/2 years and has been in the hospital 3 times now for extended lengths of time and she makes all the doctors talk to me first before any treatments it makes me feel good that she trust me enough to have me look out for her my thoughts will be with you during your time need
