This procedure is more or less a type of the
SMAS face lift. The incision is in the shape of the letter "S" in the
hairline, which begins at the temple and in front of the ear. This
incision does not extend behind the ear at all. The main goal with this
surgery is to give the patient a small amount of tightening of the lower face
without the long incisions.
Candidates for the S-Lift do not have a lot of
laxity of the neck skin, and really is for people who are in their 30's or 40's
and just starting to show signs of aging.
